Enjoy the health benefits of a manual lymphatic drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a is a specialised massage technique that helps stimulate the lymphatic system and encourages the flow of lymph fluid. The Vodder technique is applied in gentle circles and strokes and lightly stretches the walls of the lymph vessels to encourage lymph drainage, leading to a general detoxification of the system.

MLD has become more popular with the increase of cosmetic procedures. A course of 10 treatments is recommended (usually immediately after if vaserlipo) post surgery to speed the recovery time, reduce post surgery complications as the body starts to heal and to enhance the areas of the body that have been sculptured.

MLD is also great to help stimulate the lymphatic system which most people forget about looking after! Long term use of antibiotics, medication, being exposed to toxins and pollutants as well as leading sedentary lifestyles, all leaves us with sluggish lymphatic systems which then impacts our immune system.

Manual lymphatic drainage can help with:

  • Reducing post cosmetic surgery complications such as:

Unevenness

Hard oedema

Fibrosis

  • Lymphoedema
  • Post operative oedema
  • Post traumatic oedema
  • Palliative care
  • Stimulating the immune system

What our clients say...

Lisa was very friendly and gave me lots of reassurance after my surgery. She is very knowledgable and gave me relevant information as well as a thorough treatment.

Kevin, Warwick

Today was my 5th of a 10 package of lymphatic drainage massages since my cosmetic surgery (extended tummy tuck and liposuction) and I cannot imagine how much slower my recovery would have been without them. This targeted method is such a relief taking the tightness that builds up allowing you to move freer and without discomfort.

Kim, Leamington Spa

I saw Lisa for Manual Lymphatic Drainage after breast reduction surgery I had a few days before. I could feel a lump that had built up under my arm which had gone beyond uncomfortable and became very painful. After a visit to my GP he advised it was a lymph blockage and to seek MLD. Lisa worked her magic and, within 24 hours of the treatment, the blockage completely cleared. She was also incredibly kind because she squeezed me in for the appointment at incredibly short notice knowing how much discomfort I was in and how important this was. Post surgery MLD really is one of the most incredibly important additions to a post operative care plan. Highly recommend Lisa, she is excellent.
